Nokia, the former world leader in mobiles has announced a new mobile at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The mobile which is called Nokia 808 PureView boasts of a whopping 41 MP camera!

Though Nokia 808 PureView boasts of a 41 MP camera, the maximum it can capture are 38 MP images at a resolution of 7728 x 5354. The camera is equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens. In camera mode, the 808 PureView can zoom upto 3x without a loss in the image quality. The 808 PureView can also record 1080p HD videos.

Nokia 808 Pureview disappoints when it comes to the OS used on the mobile. Nokia has chosen to use its Symbian OS instead of Windows Phone 7 on which it is betting heavily these days.

Nokia 808 PureView is powered by a single-core 1.3 GHz processor and has 512 MB of RAM. The mobile sports a 4-inch AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass.

Nokia 808 PureView sure seems to be a game changer in the field of mobile photography. The 808 PureView will soon be available in Europe and is expected to cost around 450 Euros.
