Lana Del Rey is the name on everybody’s lips right now, as the sultry singer (and her signature pout) soar to the top of the charts time and time again.
Mulberry love her so much, they even named their latest ‘It’ bag after here (see: Lana Del Rey bags the spotlight at Mulberry’s AW12 show: Trend Report – video ).
Indeed her Lana Lips are almost as famous as she is. Despite ongoing speculation as to whether or not Del Rey’s had fillers, make up maestros Pixiwoo insist that bagging a Lana pout to shout about is easily achieved with a little now how, and the right tools. Scroll down for their Lana How-To Video Guide.
Lana Beauty How-To: It’s you, it’s you, it’s all for you (etc).
1] To get her sixties look, start off by creating a strong base. Try Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Santé Fe, applying it with a brush and concealing any redness in the skin.
2] The ‘60s flick
Lana’s brows veer up at the ends and are perfectly messy. Use Avon Perfect Eyebrow Pencil in dark brown and roughly brush them out. Apply MAC Paint Pot in Quite Natural over the eyelids – it’s a cream base that sets so won’t crease – use a blending brush to soften the edges. Try Topshop’s Magic Liner fine liquid pen to go along the upper lashes, flicking outwards at the edges.
3] Lana’s lashes
Revlon’s Grow Luscious mascara promises to grow lashes while lengthening them. Apply it on the upper lashes, then let it dry before you do the lower set. Apply concealer under the eyes and set your foundation with Bourjois Pressed Powder -especially around the eye area to stop your mascara from dropping. Finish off by applying mascara to the bottom lashes.
Add a mixture of Avon Earth and Rose Blush and Topshop Cream Blush in Flush onto your cheeks, adding the Topshop Cream Blush to the apples of the cheeks only and blending in with your foundation brush from earlier.
5] Lana Lips
Lana’s lips are almost as famous as she is. Fake the perfect pout by using what’s left on your concealer brush to nude out the natural colour of your lips and create a base. Even better the right way up.
Use MAC Highlight Colour Base in pearl cream around the upper edge of your top lip to create that pout effect. Finish off by dabbing Avon Moisture Seduction Lipgloss in Glimmering Champagne onto the centre of the lips and blot. There you have it, a Lana pout to shout about!
